...Your Inalienable Rights, your Liberty:
You were born with rights. The government does not give you these rights. The Constitution simply recognizes that you own these rights. A judge worthy of your vote views the law through the lens of your individual liberties and interprets each case with an understanding of your Inalienable Rights. A judge is your servant protecting you from anyone, including your government, who threatens your freedoms.
...Your Voice, your Right to Vote:
You have the right to be heard. I believe "We the people" are capable of choosing our own leaders, including judges, so we can be heard. I am equally passionate about your right to trust that your case will be heard in an impartial manner, the law will be applied competently, and the decision will be fair. My first duty as Chief Justice will be to see that you are heard fully. When your voice is powerful, your government serves you.
...You, the Individual:
I will never be appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court because I do not have the political connections to put me in that group. I do have a background of hard work, mistakes and triumphs. I believe in America and what it is to be an American. Ayn Rand was right when she wrote, "Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." Interpreting law is a simple matter of applying the law and holding YOUR individual rights sacred. As justice,

You want a judge that will work tirelessly to limit the power of government to intrude on your life. You are capable of deciding for yourself what is best for you. You are disciplined to care for those in need around you. Keep government in its place by electing judges who defend your interests, not the interests of the politically connected.
